JACOB UNRUH - Born Jan. 27, 1902. On the 14th of Jun., 1902, age 4 months, 18 days old, Though here only a short time, he budded on earth to bloom in heaven. He was a frail flower, and God transplanted the little bud in the world unknown. May God comfort the bereaved parents. Services by Bro. John Brubaker. Born and died at Birch Tree. Burial at Berea-Mennonite Cemetery.
PERRY OTTO UNRUH - Born May 26, 1904. On Aug. 21, 1904 after a week of intense suffering, Perry Otto Unruh, infant son of Abram and Rachel Unruh, passed away at the age of 2 months, 26 days old. He was laid to rest at the Berea Mennonite Cemetery. Services by J. L. Brubaker.
LESLIE 'LARRY' GLENNON UPCHURCH Leslie "Larry" Glennon Upchurch was born March 22, 1945 at St. Louis, Missouri to Bud Franklin Upchurch and Leanie Pearl (Petero) Upchurch. He passed away July 4, 2006 at Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of 61 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Andrew Upchurch, and two sisters Viola Upchurch and Bertha Upchurch. He is survivied by his wife of 44 years, Betty Elizabeth Upchurch of Birch Tree, Missouri; his two sons, Carl Upchurch of Birch Tree, Missouri and Leslie "Wayne" Upchurch and wife Peggy of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Bud Upchurch, Jr. and wife Betty of Kokomo, Indiana; four sisters Juanita McKenzie and husband Edward of Pevely, Missouri; Lorine Hanks and husband Thelbert of Grandin, Missouri; Audrey Knox and husband Jack of Birch Tree, Missouri; and Cathleen Heverns and husband Denver of DeSoto, Missouri; three grandchildren, Joshua Upchurch, Jessica Upchurch and Anna Frazier and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Larry loved the woods. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and riding motorcyles. Larry was known as a hard worker. He had worked in St. Louis as a welder at the St. Louis Ship Yard. Later he moved back to the area where he worked in his tree trimming and tree removal service. Larry was raised in the Pentecostal church. In the months preceding his death, he began to study the Bible and seek God. Larry will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Birch Tree, Missouri with Rev. Randy Risner officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Forest Cemetery under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Birch Tree. Lawrence Allen Atchison.

REV. WILLIAM UNDERWOOD The Rev. William E. Underwood, 83, of 3724 N. Willow, North Little Rock, Ark., a retired carman for Union Pacific Railroad and former minister of the Pentecostal Church, Kansas City, Mo., died saturday. Underwood was a member of First Pentecostal Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Silva Underwood; two sons, John Underwood of Kansas City, Mo, and Calvin Underwood of Kansas City, Kans.; four daughters, Mrs. Frances Ridenour of Kansas City, Kans.; Mrs. Doris Mills of North Little Rock, Mrs. Sylvia Peters of Cabot and Mrs. Loretta Moses of McCloud, Kans.; a brother, Ernest Underwood of Missouri; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Ford and Mrs. Stella Tripp, both of Flat River, Mo., and Flossie Underwood of Winona, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral was held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rest Hills Funeral Home by Rev. Joel Holmes. Burial was in the Rest Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Walters, Gene Nicholson, Cecil Beard, Danny Looper, James Mullinax and Larry Counts.
