The Current Wave is the only newspaper in Shannon County, Missouri.  It is published once weekly. The Current Wave does not have a website.  Only checks are accepted for subscriptions. Many of the obituaries from this paper are printed on the Shannon County MOGenWeb Obituaries page.

Subscription Rates for the Newspaper are as follows:

• For Shannon County $22.00 per yr.

• For  Carter, Dent, Howell, Oregon, Reynolds, Texas the rate is $24.00 per yr.

• For anywhere else in Missouri the rate is $28.00 per yr.

• And for outside of Missouri the rate is $30.00 per yr.
