SURNAMES: Book "History of Birchtree Mo
BUSBY/PLANK/WEAVER Several years ago I purchased a 'History of Birchtree, MO'. When we moved two years ago, it along with most of my genealogy research got lost. Can anyone tell me where I can obtain another copy? My mother was born in Montier & lived in Birchtree for several years. They left about 1920 & moved to Oklahoma. Her name was Inez May BUSBY. My grandparents were James Rubson (aka John H.) & Arminda Elizabeth (PLANK) BUSBY. James' parents were Sion & Mary Jane (WEAVER) BUSBY. In the book requested is a picture of the Weaver family. My mother was a baby held in the arms of her mother in the picture. The book does not name the individuals in the picture, but Mother had a copy of the picture in her possession & pointed out several of the people in the picture. Any information on the 'History of Birchtree, MO' would be greatly apprecitated.

Re: Indian History
for area I write Indian History articles for the RIVER HILLS TRAVELER out of Piedmont,
MO and the "destination" subject is Rocky Falls. I'm trying to locate sources
that might give me Indian information anywhere near this region that I might
write about. I've read a number of books by Eunice Pennington which has helped a
lot, but can anyone advise me as to where I might find more Indian history in
this part of the state? Any help will be sincerely appreciated and I want to
thank whomever receives this request for putting their address on the Internet.

Seeking someone who researches QUIGLEY. I believe that Thomas QUIGLEY'S wife, Laviney C. CHRONISTER [married in Ripley Co., MO, in 1838], was a daughter to Daniel and Mary CHRONISTER. I need documentation for circumstantial evidence. Thomas and Lavinia were in Shannon Co., MO, and he is found in Reynolds Co., MO, later with an apparent second wife, Nancy.
