He is survived by his wife Carol of Hermann MO; two daughters, Stacie Hall and her husband Jim and their children, Kinsey Earl and Krista Ann of Alliance NE; Teddi Lea Ann Dooley and her husband Tony and daughter Rylea of Lincoln NE; one son, Teddy and Beth Piatt and daughters Ashley, Rebecca and Tiffany of Hermann MO; a sister Norma Martin and her husband Denver of Eminence MO; one brother Ray Piatt and his wife Charlene of Republic MO; a brother in law, Jolly Watson of St James MO,  Ted is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Floyd and Judy Berlin, Harold Berlin, Herman and Mary Lou Berlin, and Wesley and Dorothy Berlin all of Longview TX, John and Mary Berlin of Marble Falls TX, and Joe and Chris Berlin of Springtown TX, and his mother in law Gladys Berlin of Monroe City MO; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.  Ted was baptized at a young age in the Pentecostal church at Timber MO. He attended Fairview and Eminence schools until he was 14. He then quit school and started working, and spent most of his life as a logger, root digger and carpenter. By far his best accomplishment was being a great husband, father and papaw.   He struggled with MS for 35 years and proved all the doctors wrong, when they said he would never walk again. He continued to work for 20 years then in 1988 he retired. The pain and fatigue from the MS was too much, but he continued doing things he enjoyed - fishing, hunting and woodworking. He continuously worked hard and provided a loving home for his family and his grandkids were the light of his life. Ted will certainly never be forgotten and will be missed by everyone who loved him. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 08, 2001 at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Eminence MO with Rev. Kevin Davis officiating. Interment was in the Piatt Cemetery in Round Spring MO. under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Eminence.  - TO PAPAW, Sometimes life passes by so fast and you only notice the more important things, but to live life to the fullest, notice and love all the smaller things. - Love Always, Krista
