Graveside services for Eloise Jennings Young, 79, of Eminence will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Munsell Cemetery, Eminence.

She died Aug. 21, 2009, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Mo. Burial will be under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home, Eminence.

She was born July 27, 1930 in Pumpkin Center, Miss., to Labon and Ludie Jennings. Eloise was a loving wife and mother, an avid gardener and an award-winning quilter. Her quilts were featured in numerous quilt shows, newspaper articles and exhibitions. She carefully hand quilted each and every masterpiece, generously given to friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her older sister, Dot Tackett.

Eloise leaves behind her husband, Jerry L. Young Jr.; four children, Linda Potter, Amelia Moncure, Lee Young and Connie Warren; one brother, Howard Jennings of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and extended family.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Duncan Funeral Home chapel.
