MARY ELLIOTT - In
Memory of Mary ELLIOTT, our dear mother, who passed away Feb. 13, 1988: “Mother
was so tired and weary; weary with the toil and pain. Put aside her rocker, she
will not need it again. Into Heaven she’s entered, never to sigh or weep; After
long years of life’s struggle - Mother has fallen asleep. Rest tired feet
forever, dear tired hands so still; blast of the earth shall no longer, throw
over our mother a chill. Angels through Heaven shall guide her; Jesus will still
bless and keep; not for the world would I wake her – Mother has fallen asleep.
Forgive me if I did not cry, the day that you died; the simplest reason that I
know, you’d said you’d rather have it so – that I held my head serenely high,
forgive if I did not cry! (Forgive me if I did).” - By children of Mary ELLIOTT.
