Bufford "Frog" was the last of four children born to Edith and Fred Nichols in Winona Missouri.
Married January 18,1969 to Fay Thompson, this union blessed him with what he considered his greatest accomplishments, his children; Regina Nichols Hammond and Eric Nichols.
He is survived by his children, and grand children, Adrian, Noah, Ian, Brad, Matt and Cameron.

He leaves to mourn;
One Brother James "Butch" Nichols and Wife Rosemary of Imperial Mo, two Sisters Mary Nichols Wyble and husband Bob of Arnold Mo. and Meredith Williams of Michigan,. Nieces, Melissa Wyble Black and husband Jeff of Arnold Mo. and children, Joan Nichols, Jamie Nichols and Kathy Nichols, of Imperial Mo., Nephews; Bobby Wyble and wife Sue of Arnold Mo and children., Warren Thomason and wife Jacki of St. Louis Mo., Wayne Thomason, and children of Winona Mo., Shane Counts and wife Stephanie of Mt. View Mo. and children, , Justin Counts of Eminence Mo. and Tommy Counts and family of Eminence Mo, close cousins Barbara Miller and Walter "Doc" Weible, life time friends Joe and Johnny Counts, and Otto and Carol Underwood, and a host of cousins friends and family.
He loved to play cards with his friends, spend deer season with his family, watching Cardinals games and Wrestling, and his grandkids.
Bufford was a special friend to many, each person either family or friend had their own unique relationship with him. He treated everyone individually. Every friend was special to him.
He was Baptized June 16, 2007 and was ready for his journey.
He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him, and welcomed by everyone that is waiting for him.
Funeral Services were held in St. Louis Mo at Fey Funeral Home in St. Louis County, Mo. June 30, 2007
After the services he will be cremated and brought "home" by his brother James "Butch" Nichols for a Memorial Service to be held at Bethany Chapel July 14th at 3:00 P.M. with burial in Bethany Cemetery next to his father Fred Nichols.
