GRACE VELLA JULIAN CUTTS - Age 84 years, 7 months, 6 days, of the Munsell Community, passed away Monday, October 15, 1984, at her home. Vella was the daughter of John and Emma Myers Julian and was born March 9, 1900, at Low Wassie, east of Winona, Missouri.  She was married to Willie Cutts on June 6, 1920, and celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary at their home. Vella was a member of the Eminence Baptist Church, which she joined 31 years ago and was a faithful and practicing Christian throughout her lifetime.  Surviving are her son, Lawrence and his wife, Pauline of Milton-Freewater, Oregon; one sister, Beulah Fry of Eminence; three grandchildren, Karen, Gary and Glenda all of Milton-Freewater, Oregon; six great granddaughters and two great grandsons in Oregon; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie; sisters, Edith Carlton and Lena Hisey; and one brother, Omer Julian. Vella lived her lifetime in the Munsell Community and was well known for her traditional Ozark hospitality.  Her kitchen was open at all times, ready to share a recipe or a sampling.  She loved to make quilts in the winter and garden in the summer.  One of the lessons she inspired was 'waste not, want not' and she was a shining example of that to us all.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 17, 1984 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duncan Funeral Chapel at Eminence, with Rev. John Thomas officiating.  Burial was in Munsell Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Eminence.
