Charles is the son of George & Esther Murfin. Charles spent most of his life
as a farmer, store merchant & County Road Judge for Texas County, MO. His
wife Margaret Elizabeth (Cloninger) aka 'Maggie' was b. Aug. 19, 1886 at
Indian Creek near Solo, MO. She d. June 03, 1950 at her home in Hartshorn,
MO. She is buried in the Antioch Cemetery. She was the daughter of George
Davidson Cloninger & Alice Levica (Steele) Cloninger. Her siblings were:
Nancy Ellen, James Cleveland, Minerva Malinda, John, Niza Jane, George
Franklin, William Thomas & Charles Cloninger. Children of Charles Edward
Murfin & Margaret Elizabeth: George Elmer, Charles Everett, Anna Estella,
Alice Ruth, Clarence Edwin & Myrtle Marie Murfin. Charles Edward's father
George Wesley Murfin was a farmer, postmaster for Hartshorn Post Office in
1900 & also hauled freight.
