COOPER, DOVIE WILLIAMS

Dovie Williams was born April 1, 1890, to David and Mary Williams near Winona, Missouri, in the Sycamore Community. She departed this life May 5, at the age of 74 years after a lingering illness. She was united in marriage to William E. Cooper on March 6, 1917. Dovie accepted Christ and was baptized as a young woman and her life was proof of her faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, three sisters and two brothers. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and a daughter, Eva, of the home, one brother, R.V. Williams of Winona, Missouri, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at the Winona Methodist Church with the Rev. James Wingo and the Rev. Earl Sigler officiating. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Duncan Funeral Home. Out of town relatives here for the services included Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pyrtle, Granite City, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Price, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. R.W. Tohline, Bridgeton, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Norton, St. Louis, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Brown and family, Mt, View, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brown, Birth Tree, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Fred O. Brown and family, Buckner, Missouri; and Mr. and Mrs. Arch Cooper, Venice, Illinois.

DOVIE WILLIAMS COOPER – We are most grateful to our many friends for their kindness shown to us during the long illness and death of Dovie Cooper, our beloved wife and mother.
