NOTE: It is believed one of the unmarked graves here is likely hers. The information on the death certificate conflicts with other information but is included until further proof is found. Note the long period of time following her death until she was buried. Neighbors buried her.

"Julia Ann Rumburg is listed as a daughter of Phineas Rumburg and Cynthia Harless. However, some info says she was a full blooded Cherokee Indian. If so, they may have found her after some battles with the Indians and took her to raise. She married William Ross 1 Oct 1852. He was born about 1828. Phineas Rumburg died in Aid Twp., Lawrence Ohio but info indicates Julia Ann died in Shannon Co., 22 Feb. 1913. My grandfather was William Silas Rumburg who moved to Shannon Co. Missouri so there may have been some connection with his going to Missouri. There is a "Rumburg" cemetery between Eminence and Ellington. - I was born and grew up in Ellington, Mo., daughter of Albert Rumburg. Phineas was my gggrandfather. NOTE from TBrown:  Frank Ross is the William Ross listed as the oldest son on the 1880 Census. I think Frank (Francis Marion Ross) may be the half brother of William Frank Ross. William was adopted (mother Cherokee, father partial Cherokee?). Another half brother is John Ross. All three fought in Civil War and survived. Two of them were Union. I'm still working on this but I'm not sure of their birth dates yet.
