First Grave: Unknown Civil War Soldier    ‘No Dates.’ First grave in this cemetery est. in 1854. Acclaimed to be an unknown soldier of the Confederate army during the Civil War. It is told that a DePriest family nearby found a young soldier dying of typhoid in their barn. They took him in and cared for him and buried him here on their farm. This was the beginning of this grave yard.
