Located at Winona on Old Hwy. 60 in southwest part of town, between the intersections of south Hwy. 19 and north Hwy. 19.
(Just up the hill from the car wash, on the left, and directly across the highway from the senior citizens apartments and Trace Pond).

This is a very old cemetery. Many years ago a sink hole appeared and a lot of graves disappeared.
There are obvious locations of graves throughout the cemetery that are unmarked, sunken in or overgrown, and unidentifiable.
 It is certain that all the burials in this cemetery are not listed, but as many as are known are here.

 YARDLEY, James C.     28 Feb 1873 - 18 Aug 1924.     Born Milan Sullivan Co MO; died Winona Shannon Co MO). Son of Joseph C. Yardley (Humphreys MO) and Sara Bentley (KY).  Cause of death: “Fell dead from fatty heart”. Informant R. L. Yardley, Winona. Burial 19 Aug. 1924.

 YARDLEY, Joseph C. 'Boat'     23 Nov 1847 - 27 Apr 1912.     Born Humphreys St. Charles Co MO; died Winona Shannon Co MO. MO Death Cert.#19202: Informant J. C. Yardley, Winona. Burial 28 Apr. 1912.
 YARDLEY, Sara Kathryn Bentley     10 Oct 1845 – 3 Mar. 1934.     Born Tompkinsville Monroe Co KY; died Winona Shannon Co MO. MO Death Cert.#11586: Widow of J. C. Yardley. Daughter of John Bentley (KY) and Malinda Bennett (East TN). Informant Naomi Yardley, Winona. Burial at Old Cemetery 4 Mar. 1934. 

 

YARDLEY, Johnson C.     24 May 1890 – 31 Oct. 1914.     Born at Humphreys MO. Single. Son of Joseph C. Yardley (Humphreys MO) and Sara Bentley (KY). Died of typhoid fever. Informant on MO Death Cert.#37586 was Sara C. Yardley, Winona. Burial 1 Nov. 1914.

 

YARDLEY, Lowell     Born & Died 6 Jun. 1924     MO Death Cert.#19523:  '7 hours old.'     Infant son of Robert L. Yardley (Sullivan Co MO) & Neoma Yardley (Marion IN). Valvular disease of the heart (weak at birth). Burial 7 Jun. 1924.
